Project Accountant

Elkus Manfredi Architects is a full-service design firm providing architecture, master planning, urban design, interior architecture, space planning, and programming. We are seeking talented individuals with unbridled curiosity, who tirelessly ask questions, are always learning, and are passionately engaged.

We are looking for a Project Accountant to work with our Project Managers to process billing and help monitor the profitability of projects.

This position reports to the Accounting Manager.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop strong and enduring relationships with project managers.
  • Assure that all consulting invoices are checked for completeness and compared to the budget.
  • Responsible for maintaining and building monthly reports.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Education, Training and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (Accounting or Finance preferred).
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in a similar or related role.
  • Experience in service related billing.

Additional Education, Training and Experience

  • Experience with Deltek Vision or Vantagepoint is highly preferred.
  • Project related accounting experience a plus.

Required Competencies

  • Ability to work collaboratively as a team.
  • Must be able to multi-task.
  • Be motivated, flexible and able to work independently and collaboratively, as well as being able to think strategically and critically.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
