Over the past 17 years Sam Norod has managed a variety of project types including award-winning institutional buildings, public projects, hospitality facilities, corporate office buildings, and mixed-use developments. Mr. Norod has had ongoing responsibility, with Howard Elkus, for the master planning of 27 acres for The McCourt Company on the South Boston Waterfront. He is currently overseeing the design and construction of the Intercontinental Hotel and Residences overlooking Boston Harbor; the master planning and design of Emerson Place, a group of residential buildings at Charles River Park.

Sam Norod holds Bachelors degrees in Architecture and Fine Arts in Architecture from the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design. He has over 25 years of experience in the field of architecture and has been with Elkus Manfredi Architects since the firm’s inception in 1988. In 1997 Mr. Norod became the firm’s Chief Operating Officer; in 2003 he was named a principal in the firm.
